Coffee is pretty easy to come by in Venice.... I mean, you're in Italy for goodness sake. However, finding a cheap coffee is a little trickier. We mistakingly sat down at a cafe and ordered a cappuccino without looking at the price because we assumed (aha, first mistake) that coffee would be coffee, alas, in Italy that is not the case.
In one cafe it costs €8 for a cappuccino! In another place it was €10!!!
We asked the waiter why is it so much? And he told us the secret to drinking coffee in Italy.
If you drink it standing up at the bar, it costs much less.
