Kalimera and welcome to SANTORINI!!!!!
Oh my goodness, I can't quite believe we're here! Although I have said that about all the places we've been, this one was always on my 'list'.
Never having been there before I had to book blind. My only stipulations were that we be on the cliff overlooking the caldera and that there not be too many steps. I'm not sure exactly how many steps there were exactly, but there were a lot, but the view made up for it.
The paths are not really made for suitcase wheels!
Are you checking out the view?
Our first stop was to the place the airport transfer driver recommended for souvlaki - "Lucky's Souvlaki"
And check this out peeps, they put chips in them!!!!
We wrapped our laughing gear around one of these babies not once, but twice in our 2.5 day jaunt to Santorini. It was that spectacular.
Get. In. My. Belly!
As in all countries we visit we like to learn a bit of the language and these clever Greek people made it very easy for us by printing it on a t-shirt. We were too tight to buy the t-shirt, but we did take a photo of it for reference purposes. Madds picked it up straight away, but I took a couple of days to get my head around remembering the words. Lu just made up her own words that she thought sounded right. She still got the same responses though.
The Greeks - such good sports!
