A Whole Lot Of Dodgy Going On!

So, we got on the plane and into our seats.  We put our things in the overhead locker and fastened our seatbelts.  We’ve flown before and we know the drill.  Then we sat and stared.  There was some strange things going on on that plane.  There was a man in front of us who, was sitting alone at first and talking on the phone.   Then he got up and tried to get to the front of the plane battling the line of people trying to walk down the aisle to their seats.  He was gone for about 5 minutes and in that time a woman and her daughter sat in the seats, then the man came back and they were discussing what seat they should have all been in, then the woman realised that they were meant to be in the row in front, so they got up and moved and the man moved back over to the window seat.  Then another man came down and was talking to the man in front (I don’t know what they were talking about, but it wasn’t from lack of listening in!) then the man who was seated got out his wallet and took out an envelope filled with cash and the second man was counting it out on the middle seat

(Lu and I almost had our faces squeezed in between their seats to see what was going on!)  Then another couple turned up because the two vacant seats where actually theirs...... so the two men just said “in a minute” and continued counting out their wads of cash.  Then the second man walked back to the front of the plane and the others sat down.  Dodgy?

The whole flight was a complete shamozzle, as soon as the plane had landed, people were taking off their seatbelts and standing up, the plane hadn’t even slowed down or left the runway yet.  Then it was like the Amazing Race getting off the plane and onto a bus, then into the terminal and through passport control - there was no order, it was every man/woman for themselves.  There is no “excuse me”, no “pardon me” , “sorry about that”...... nothing.  Sometimes you might get a disdainful look up and down, a little like when you’ve stepped in something, but that’s about it.

We must learn to adapt!
